Terms of Service
Money Hack Budget
Effective 10 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Money Hack LLC for using Money Hack Budget. They are written to be read. Where something is genuinely your risk, they say so plainly rather than hiding it in capital letters.
By using the app you agree to them.
1. What the app is
Money Hack Budget is a budgeting tool. It does arithmetic on numbers you type in: what you earn, what you owe, when it is due, and what is left.
It is not a financial adviser. Nothing in the app is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to take or avoid any particular action with your money. The debt payoff projections, savings suggestions and any figure the app puts in front of you are calculations based on what you entered — not guidance about what you should do.
Decisions about your money remain yours. If you need advice, speak to someone licensed to give it.
2. There is no account
The app has no sign-up and no login. Your budget lives on your device and nowhere else. We cannot see it, recover it, or reset it.
This has a consequence worth being blunt about: if you lose your device and have no backup, your budget is gone. We have no copy to restore. The app has an export feature precisely so you can keep your own backup, and we recommend you use it.
3. Your data
Covered in full by our privacy policy. The short version: what you enter stays on your device, we do not collect it, and there is nothing for us to sell or lose.
You own what you enter. You can export it or delete it at any time by removing the app.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Some features require a paid subscription.
Apple bills you, not us. Purchases are handled entirely by the App Store, charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. We never see or handle your payment details.
- Free trial. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid
subscription automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If you subscribe during a trial, the unused portion of that trial is forfeited.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you
cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings. Cancelling
stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
- Price changes. If we change the price, Apple will ask for your consent
before charging the new amount. We will not raise the price of an existing subscription without that.
Refunds are handled by Apple, under their policy, not ours. We cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase — if you want one, request it through Apple. We can and will help you work out what happened.
5. What happens if you stop paying
Your data is never held hostage.
If your subscription lapses, the app becomes read-only. Every number you entered stays visible, and you can still export a complete backup. What stops is adding and changing things.
We think locking someone out of their own household's numbers over a declined card is indefensible, so we do not do it.
6. Using the app sensibly
Do not: reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the app; use it to break the law; or resell or redistribute it as your own.
That is the whole list. Nothing here is aimed at ordinary use.
7. The app is provided as-is
We build this carefully and test it thoroughly, but no software is perfect.
The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any projection it produces will prove accurate.
Check anything that matters against your own accounts. The app is a plan, not a bank statement.
8. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Money Hack LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, missed payments, overdraft or late fees, or loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Ending it
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms. If we ever discontinue the app, we will say so in advance and in time for you to export your data.
10. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts located there.
